CHRISTIAN PRO! NEED DETAILED ANSWER! Adam and eve were the first people but not the first humans?
Im starting to hear from different people that BEFORE Adam and Eve, god created men that were bigger than us, and had bigger heads. their eyes were more far apart though.
i had a dream about these people and god sent them to take my brother away. I thought it was just a dream and told someone about it. He explained to me who those people were. i didn't believe it at first so i asked around.
that's when i found out.....
does anyone have any more information about this im hearing? Im hearing it from many different people but no one seems to have detailed insite. where did they get this informaion? everyone says its not in the bible.
and no im not talking about lizard like creatures or dinasaurs!
Hi,
There are things in the bible and things in life that we cannot explain. They are fun to consider at times, but we should not get preoccupied with such thoughts as it is fruitless. If your friend has given you detailed information on such matters he is probably passing along something he read, but the truth is people love to fill in the gaps about things we cannot know with their fanciful imaginations. And no matter how much they may claim to know and how convincingly they may state their assurance of such matters, it is either their imagination or someone else's, not any real facts. That said I am going to show you two quotes from the bible that you may find interesting. The first quote is from the first Chapter or Genesis. It is from the King James translation. After creation God says to Adam and Eve go forth and replenish the earth. Some have said the word replenish indicates the existence or a prior group of inhabitants that were no longer in existence. But no one knows for sure and other translations have words like populate instead of replenish. I am no scholar of ancient languages and cannot give an opinion. The second quote refers to the time before Noah and the flood. It is genesis chapter 6. (The numbers refer to the chapter verses.) The version quoted is the New Kings James, but you can use any translation. Some speculate that the term "sons of God" refers to angelic beings, but no one knows. Anyway don't let your dreams frighten you. Here are the quotes:
And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it:
1 Now it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them, 2 that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose.
3 And the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not strive[a] with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.” 4 There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.
