Can i keep my baby RES's with my adult or medium sized RES's?
I got a baby turtle but my dad thinks my other turtles wil gang up on him...will they and can i?!
well i have a 20.gal and my baby i just got today!!!YAY!!um stays on the right side and whenever i try to make them meet the adult ones go away...lol...is this bad?!?!
New hatchlings should be kept seperate until their shell hardens a bit. Then it depends on your space and set up. Different sizes can be housed together is there is enough space, food, and all needs are met, and multiple basking areas provided. Remeber they need 8-10 gallons of water for every inch of turtle. If your mixing sizes you want to stay more towards the 10 gallons per inch. They need plenty of food. And remember there is always a risk when mixing sizes. I've done it and seen it done with no problems, however I've also heard stories of people doing it and ending up with a decapitated baby so always keep in mind the risks.
