Do you think Rex Grossman deserves his starting position back as quarterback of the Chicago Bears?
Did Rex Grossman really save the Chicago Bears in Oakland? Or is Rex Grossman just lucky that Brian Griese got injured?
Not that I think the Oakland Raiders are any good this year. Not that I think Brian Griese is playing any better than Grossman. But Grossman did throw that 59-yard touchdown pass to Bernard Berrian, helping the Bears defeat the Raiders.
Now, should the Bears put the ball back in Grossman’s hand, or should they start playing second year quarterback Kyle Orton?
1) Orton is in his 3rd year, not second.
2) Grossman fumbled his first snap in the game. Then did it again.
The point is Orton deserves a chance. Griese is just a backup, and Grossman is a backup at best. Orton will get a chance to show what he can do when the Bears drop out of the playoff race. The Bears will then know if they have a starting quarterback, or just three backups.
