Replacing squash racquet grip?
I just removed the old grip and there is loads of double-sided tape that is difficult to get rid of. Do I need to replace the double-sided tape as well or just stick the new grip on? Also, there is a staple at the bottom. How am I supposed to fit this in the new grip?
There's no need to worry about either one. The tape can stay on, and the staple can be left alone. The staple is just there to hold the butt cap on, not the grip itself.
Your replacement grip should actually have its own adhesive on the back of it. So it's fine to stick it right on top of the leftover adhesive from the old grip. It'll still hold just fine.
Tip for wrapping the grip: Try to keep a steady tension on the grip as you wrap. You don't have to pull too hard or stretch it too much or anything. Just keep it taut as you wrap it.
